This performance improves their summer season record to an impressive 5-3 and highlights a team that knows exactly how to make adjustments when the pressure is on. The first half was a tactical chess match featuring seven lead changes and three ties, leaving the Lakers trailing by a single point, 14-13, at the break. The turnaround was spearheaded by a masterclass in efficiency from Muse #31, who dominated the paint to finish with a game-high 14 points on 6-for-11 from the field and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe. Jack Evans #2 provided the perfect secondary punch, racking up 10 points on a stellar 5-of-12 shooting, consistently finding the bottom of the net during a decisive run that saw the Lakers stretch their lead to double digits. Saturday SCS Lakers U12s Show Heart in Battle with Wolves

The Saturday SCS Lakers U12s delivered a high-energy performance at home this weekend, pushing a tough Wolves squad in a competitive 46-33 contest. Despite moving their record to 2-6, the final score does not fully reflect the game, which was characterized by a scorching start and several outstanding individual performances.

The Lakers ignited the crowd early, executing their offensive game plan to perfection. Behind a quick-strike attack, the team surged to a commanding 13-6 lead. Josh Evans drove this early momentum, posing a formidable threat to the Wolves' defense with his 8 points in the opening period alone. Oscar kept the pressure on with back-to-back buckets, while Jai Singh set the tone early with the game’s opening scores. Friday SCS Lakers U14s Battle Back to Take Down the SCS Bulls Court 1 at 7:15pm, 13 February 2026

The Friday SCS Lakers U14s showcased their trademark resilience this week, overcoming a halftime deficit to secure an impressive 37-29 home victory over the SCS Bulls. This win elevates their outstanding record to 6-1-0 and serves as a testament to the team’s ability to adjust under pressure. Lans N and Chris Wourman ignited a quick 4-0 start in the first half, but the Bulls managed to claw back, outscoring the Lakers late in the period to take a 12-9 lead into the break. Despite the scoreboard, the energy in the gym remained high as the Lakers prepared for a pivotal second-half response.

The momentum shifted the moment the Lakers stepped back onto the hardwood, as they unleashed a clinical display of long-range shooting. Muse immediately leveled the score with a clutch three-pointer, followed by back-to-back strikes from distance by Jack Evans to reclaim the lead. The definitive turning point came when Muse connected on three consecutive three-pointers, stretching the advantage to 26-18 and effectively breaking the game open. This perimeter barrage provided the cushion the Lakers needed to dictate the tempo for the remainder of the contest.

The Lakers' 37-29 victory was a team effort, but an absolute clinic from beyond the arc fueled the second-half comeback. Muse and Jack Evans combined for a staggering six three-pointers, turning a halftime deficit into a commanding lead in a matter of minutes. Muse ignited the spark with three triples, including back-to-back strikes that broke the game open, while Jack Evans showcased his "ice-in-the-veins" composure by knocking down two consecutive long-range bombs of his own. This display of perimeter depth and confidence fundamentally altered the game's geometry, compelling the Bulls' defense to flex its limits and creating opportunities for the rest of the team to score.

Lans N anchored the victory with a dominant individual performance, finishing with a game-high 16 points on a remarkably efficient 8-of-12 shooting night. Muse provided the spark that ignited the comeback, tallying 9 points on a perfect 3-of-6 performance from beyond the arc. Jack Evans contributed 6 crucial points, all coming from his hot hand at the three-point line in the second half, while Chris Wourman added a steady 6 points of his own. By combining a balanced scoring attack with lockdown second-half execution, the Lakers proved once again that they are a formidable force in U14s Group A of the Friday competition.

Having multiple threats who can pull up from a distance makes this 6-1 Lakers team incredibly difficult to scout. When the defense falters during a drive, these two players demonstrate their readiness to score from the perimeter. Congratulations to Muse and Jack for a masterclass in long-range shooting!

Friday SCS Lakers U12s Show Massive Heart in Battle with SCS Falcons Court 1 5:45pm 13 February 2026

The Friday SCS Lakers U12s left everything on the court this week, pushing a talented SCS Falcons squad in a high-octane 46-30 contest. Although the outcome elevates their season record to 5-6-1, the final score fails to capture the intensity of the first half, which was arguably the most thrilling basketball game of the year.

The opening periods were a masterclass in competition, featuring nine lead changes that kept the crowd on their feet. Kyron T ignited the energy with an early bucket, setting the stage for a back-and-forth war. Jai Singh provided a massive highlight with a silky three-pointer to snatch an 8-6 lead, while Syd Malveda’s timely baskets answered every Falcons surge. The Lakers displayed incredible poise under pressure, heading into the halftime break trailing by the thinnest of margins at 25-24.

Josh Evans led the Lakers' offensive charge with a gritty 10-point night, anchoring the second half with another standout performance. Josh showcased his versatility by relentlessly attacking the paint, finishing with three field goals and earning seven trips to the charity stripe. Supporting him, Syd Malveda and Jai Singh provided 6 points each, with Malveda’s efficient shooting and Singh’s accuracy from a distance keeping the pressure on the Falcons. Kyron T and Ethan Espiritu—who was perfect from the free-throw line—rounded out a balanced scoring attack with 4 points apiece. Although the Falcons managed to find an extra gear in the closing minutes to pull away, the Lakers never stopped competing. This performance was a testament to the team’s character and resilience, proving that when they play with this level of intensity, they can challenge any opponent in the league.

The Saturday SCS Lakers U14s showcased incredible heart and determination this weekend, pushing NS Blitz to the final buzzer in a high-stakes 25-22 battle. Although the result moves their season record to 4-3, the narrow three-point margin reflects a Lakers squad that refused to back down from the challenge.

Both teams engaged in a gritty defensive struggle early in the game, with Kyle #44 leading the Lakers to an early lead. However, Muse #31 and Kenjie #90 put in a resilient effort to lock the score at 7-7 by the halftime break. The second half ramped up the intensity as Jack Evans #2 ignited the crowd with an early bucket to reclaim the lead, sparking a back-and-forth period that featured several dramatic lead changes.

The highlight of the night came when Muse #31 drained a clutch three-pointer to put the Lakers ahead 13-12, anchoring the offense with a team-leading 11 points and steady work at the charity stripe. Kenjie #90 provided a late-game spark of his own, knocking down a beautiful three-pointer to finish with a perfect night from both the arc and the free-throw line. Saturday SCS Lakers U12s Show Great Character in Tough Battle Court 1 at 11:30am 07 February 2026

The Saturday SCS Lakers U12s faced one of their toughest tests of the season this weekend, taking on the SCS Slammers in a hard-fought 25-37 contest at home. While the result moves the team’s record to 2-5, the scoreline doesn't capture the immense heart and resilience the Lakers displayed, particularly when facing an early uphill battle.

The game began with the Slammers firing on all cylinders, jumping out to a quick 6-0 lead. Josh Evans (#20) answered the call, breaking the run with a determined bucket to get the Lakers on the board. The visitors continued to push, extending their lead to 18-2 at one stage, but the second quarter is where the Lakers' character truly shone. Instead of folding, the team dug in, tightened their defense, and began to find their offensive rhythm as the first half progressed.

Several exceptional individual performances anchored the Lakers' comeback effort. Josh Evans was the undisputed offensive catalyst, putting on a clinic with 15 points. Josh demonstrated exceptional efficiency by shooting 6-of-9 from the field and demonstrating unwavering composure by hitting a perfect 3-for-3 from the charity stripe.

Nathaniel 'Syd' Malveda provided the "spark plug" energy the team needed. Syd turned in a flawless shooting night, going 1-for-1 from the field—including a clutch three-pointer that electrified the crowd—and adding a free throw for a total of 4 points.

Adi Ganesh set the tone for the second half, opening the scoring with a confident, perfect 1-for-1 bucket to keep the momentum moving.

Despite facing some tough shooting luck, Jai Singh and Oscar made a significant impact through their relentless effort and defensive hustle. The Lakers demonstrated a "never-give-up" attitude until the final buzzer, demonstrating their mental resilience to compete regardless of the score. These high-pressure games are vital for development, and with players like Josh and Syd leading the way in efficiency, the Lakers are primed to bounce back stronger in their next outing.

Championship Grit: Friday SCS Lakers U14s Edge Out Firestorm in a Thriller Court 1 at 6:30pm, 06 February 2026

This week, the Friday SCS Lakers U14s demonstrated their defending champion status with a thrilling 31-29 victory over the Phoenix Flames Firestorm. This win moves the Lakers, tied with Firestorm, to an elite 5-1 record, but the story of the game was as much about the roster as it was the scoreboard.

In a major boost to the squad’s championship defense, the Lakers finally welcomed back Chris Wourman and Sean from injury. Having them back on the floor meant the team was nearly at full strength for the first time in weeks, restoring the depth that makes them such a formidable opponent. However, the victory was bittersweet, as the team lost Rajiv to a knee injury that may unfortunately sideline him for the remainder of the year. Despite the heartbreak of losing a teammate, the Lakers played with a "next man up" mentality that defined the game.

Lans N (#58) put on an absolute clinic, delivering a masterpiece performance that silenced the away crowd. Lans was virtually automatic, racking up 22 points on a blistering 75% shooting (9-of-12) from the field and an ice-cold 80% from the charity stripe. He initiated the game by scoring the team's first four points, and subsequently led a 6-point scoring surge to regain the lead at 20-17. As the Firestorm rallied for a late 23-20 lead, Lans once again led the team by making the crucial high-pressure baskets to secure the victory.

Lans spearheaded the scoring, but the team's collective resilience secured the victory. Chris Wourman (#55) in his first game back from injury, didn't miss a beat. He provided 4 crucial points and veteran stability that kept the Lakers in contention during the Firestorm’s hottest streaks. Muse (#31) delivered the highlight of the night, draining a massive clutch three-pointer to knot the game at 25-25, effectively swinging the momentum back to the Lakers for good. Rajiv B (#17) before his injury, Rajiv showed his trademark efficiency, going a perfect 1-for-1 from the field to chip in 2 points.

This win was a true test of character. Between the emotional rollercoaster of returning stars and a tough injury, the Lakers showed the heart of a champion. Moving forward, the combined force of a healthy Chris and Sean makes this 5-1 team the team to beat as they continue their march toward back-to-back titles.

The Saturday SCS Lakers U14s were part of an absolute barnburner at home this weekend, dropping a heart-stopping 43-39 decision to the Koya Rebelz. While the result moves their season record to 4-2, the Lakers played with a level of intensity and heart that left no doubt about their competitive fire. In a game that truly lived up to the "nail-biter" tag, the Lakers proved that their resilience is just as strong as their talent, clawing back from an early deficit to protect their home court. The contest started as a defensive struggle, and while Kyle #44 got the Lakers on the board first, the All-Stars threatened to pull away with an early 6-2 run. The Saturday SCS Lakers U12s were part of a home-court classic this weekend, falling just short in a 35-34 "nail-biter" against the Phoenix Flames Ravens. While the final score moved their record to 2-4, the numbers only tell half the story; the match was a game defined by grit, momentum swings, and sheer determination. From the opening tip, it was clear neither side would give an inch. Nathaniel 'Syd' Malveda got the Lakers on the board early, and momentum shifted back and forth until Oscar and Adi Ganesh fueled a run to grab a 9-5 lead. The Ravens proved resilient, clawing back to tie it, but a standout first-half performance from Oscar ensured the Lakers headed into the locker room with a slim 17-15 advantage.

The second half turned into an offensive clinic, headlined by a near-perfect shooting display from Josh Evans and Oscar. Evans was simply unstoppable, turning in a flawless 13-point performance on 6-of-6 shooting, while Oscar remained efficient to the tune of 12 points on 6-of-7 from the field. Together, they maintained the Lakers' dominance, maintaining a 30-27 lead well into the final period. The closing minutes were pure chaos: the Ravens briefly surged ahead, only for Hunter Caroll to answer with a clutch bucket to reclaim the lead. Oscar then delivered what looked like the final blow to put the Lakers up 34-33, but a last-second score by the Ravens allowed them to escape with the win. Despite the result, the Lakers proved they can compete with anyone, supported by Syd Malveda’s great shooting and vital contributions from Adi Ganesh and Hunter Caroll.

Saturday SCS Lakers U14s Stage Impressive Comeback to Sink NS Ballerz (22 November 2025)

The Saturday SCS Lakers U14s came back from behind to win, beating the NS Ballerz 41-30 and improving their perfect record to 2-0. The Lakers fell behind 8-0 early in the game, but they showed outstanding teamwork and strength to come back and win by 11 points in front of their families and friends.

There were a lot of lead changes and exciting swings in momentum in the first half of the game. The Lakers had their toughest test early on when NS Ballerz took an 8-0 lead, but the team responded brilliantly with help from many players. Josh #20 scored the first basket for the Lakers, and then Muse #31 scored two in a row to cut the lead. With a clutch basket, Ralph Wendell Basilan #3 tied the game at 8-8. Then, with a perfect three-pointer, Kenjie #90 gave the Lakers their first lead. The first half was still competitive, with seven ties and many lead changes. However, Jack Evans #2's hot shooting, which included a key three-pointer, helped the Lakers take a 32-30 lead at the half.

Kyle #44 scored 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting (83%), making him the top scorer. His efficient offense made him the best player in the paint. Jack Evans #2 and Muse #31 each scored 8 points. Jack showed how versatile he is by making one of his two three-pointers and all three of his free throws. Kenjie #90 made all of his shots, scoring 5 points on 2-of-2 field goals, including a clutch three-pointer. Josh #20 also made all of his shots, scoring 4 points on 2-of-2 shooting.

The Lakers took charge in the second half with a strong 9-0 run to start the period, which pretty much ended the game. Kyle #44 and Muse #31 led the way with a big push, with Kyle scoring 4 more points and Muse scoring 2. The Lakers' balanced offense and strong defense kept NS Ballerz from scoring in the second half. These performances made the game less competitive and more comfortable for the Lakers, showing how deep and determined this team is.
