The Friday SCS Lakers U12s battled hard against the Caversham Panthers but fell 25-46, bringing their season record to 7-7-1. Despite the final score, the Lakers showed tremendous heart and determination throughout the contest, with several players stepping up to make significant contributions on offense.

The game began with Caversham taking an early 8-0 lead, but the Lakers responded with an impressive comeback effort. Josh Evans sparked the rally with back-to-back field goals, followed by Kayson C, who connected on consecutive baskets to tie the game 8-8. The first half featured multiple lead changes, with both teams trading baskets in an exciting back-and-forth battle. Evans continued his strong play with another field goal to knot the score at 10-10, and Kayson answered a Panthers score to tie it again at 12-12, showcasing the team's resilience.

Kayson C was absolutely outstanding for the Lakers, leading all scorers with 15 points on an efficient 7-13 shooting performance, including a clutch three-pointer in the first half. Josh Evans provided excellent support with 8 points on 4-10 shooting, consistently finding ways to score when the team needed baskets most. Syd Malveda also contributed with a solid field goal in the second half, adding 2 points to the team total.

While the Panthers pulled away in the second half with a strong scoring run, the Lakers never stopped competing and showed the kind of character that will serve them well moving forward. The team's ability to battle back from early deficits and create multiple ties in the first half demonstrates their fighting spirit and potential for future success.
