Friday SCS U14 Lakers Demolish Opponent in 65-13 Victory

The Friday SCS Lakers U14s kicked off their season with a commanding 65-13 victory at home against the Phoenix Flames Westies Blue. This improved their record to 1-0. The Lakers took charge of the game from the start, building an insurmountable lead through outstanding teamwork and individual performances that showed how deep and talented this young team is.

Lans N (#58) led the Lakers' offensive explosion with a game-high 31 points on an incredibly efficient 68% shooting (15-22 from the field). He set the tone early by scoring the first six points of the game and then kept scoring throughout the game. Jack Evans (#2) was a great help, scoring 12 points on 71% shooting, including a perfect 2-for-2 from three-point range. Chris Wourman (#55) scored 10 points and made all of his shots from beyond the arc (1-1) and the free-throw line. Austin Matthews (#41) scored 8 points on 67% shooting, and Blake Prunster (#11) added 4 points.

The Lakers came out strong and never let up, building a huge 37–0 lead before the Phoenix Flames Westies Blue scored their first basket. The team kept up their intensity throughout the game, and many players contributed to the balanced scoring attack. Even though the Flames scored 9 points in a row at the end of the game, the outcome had already been decided. This great opening game demonstrated the Lakers' potential for a successful season. Their mix of individual talent and team chemistry made for an exciting start to the season.
