Shutout Domination : Saturday U14 Lakers Crush Phoenix Flames, 96-0. Welcome Ethan Espiritu in Debut

The Saturday SCS Lakers U14 had a fantastic start to their season by beating the Phoenix Flames Rising 96-0 at home. They now have a perfect 1-0 record. The Lakers' balanced offensive attack and outstanding teamwork were on display in this commanding win. They controlled the game from the first tip to the last buzzer.

Jack Evans #2 had a great game, scoring 38 points and making 68% of his shots (19-28). He was the star of the offensive explosion. He scored in waves during the game, with several 6-point streaks that helped the Lakers build a lead that was too big to overcome. Jack kept finding his rhythm, scoring 26 points by halftime and continuing to shoot well in the second half. Muse helped Jack's great effort by scoring 24 points on 61% shooting (11-18) and adding 2 free throws to his total.

The Lakers took control early, scoring quickly from Jack, Josh E #20, Blake P #11, and Muse to go up 10-0. The team never looked back; they kept their shutout and kept getting stronger throughout both halves. Josh E was very effective, scoring 12 points on 75% shooting (6-8), and Blake P added 8 points on a wonderful 80% field goal percentage (4-5). Sean M added 6 points, and Ethan Espiritu, making his U14s debut, contributed 2 points, along with 2 assists and 2 steals, showcasing his all-around game. This demonstrates the team's depth, as many players contributed to the scoring.

This great team performance showed how good the Lakers could be this season. The Lakers set a high bar for themselves by scoring evenly, moving the ball well, and playing strong defense that kept the Phoenix Flames Rising from scoring. The chemistry between players like Jack and Muse, along with the steady contributions from Josh, Blake, and Sean, shows that this young team has everything they need to keep winning throughout their campaign.
