Saturday SCS Lakers U14s Push Blitz to the Limit in a Thriller Court 2 12:15pm 07 February 2026

The Saturday SCS Lakers U14s showcased incredible heart and determination this weekend, pushing NS Blitz to the final buzzer in a high-stakes 25-22 battle. Although the result moves their season record to 4-3, the narrow three-point margin reflects a Lakers squad that refused to back down from the challenge.

Both teams engaged in a gritty defensive struggle early in the game, with Kyle #44 leading the Lakers to an early lead. However, Muse #31 and Kenjie #90 put in a resilient effort to lock the score at 7-7 by the halftime break. The second half ramped up the intensity as Jack Evans #2 ignited the crowd with an early bucket to reclaim the lead, sparking a back-and-forth period that featured several dramatic lead changes.

The highlight of the night came when Muse #31 drained a clutch three-pointer to put the Lakers ahead 13-12, anchoring the offense with a team-leading 11 points and steady work at the charity stripe. Kenjie #90 provided a late-game spark of his own, knocking down a beautiful three-pointer to finish with a perfect night from both the arc and the free-throw line. Despite NS Blitz managing to edge ahead in the closing minutes, the Lakers’ balanced attack—including solid contributions from Kyle and Jack—proved that this team can compete with anyone in Group B of the Saturday U14s league. They walk away from this contest with valuable experience and their heads held high, ready to carry this momentum into their next matchup.
