💔 Heartbreak at Home: Friday SCS Lakers U14s Fall in Thrilling 35-34 Battle

The Friday SCS Lakers U14s ended their 14-game winning streak from the previous winter season with a heartbreaking loss. The Friday SCS Lakers U14s fought hard in an exciting home game against the Phoenix Flames Firestorm, but they lost 35–34 in a heartbreaking way. Even though they lost by a small margin, the Lakers showed a lot of fight and determination throughout the game. Their record is now 1-1, and it was a game that could have gone either way until the very end.

Lans N #58 had an amazing game, scoring 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and making 5-of-7 free throws. He was the best player for the Lakers. Lans scored 11 points in the first half and kept it going in the second half, hitting clutch baskets every time Phoenix went on a scoring run. There were a lot of lead changes and ties in the game, and both teams scored baskets throughout. Chris Wourman #55 helped out a lot by making all of his field goals (2 of 2) and free throws (2 of 2). Jack Evans #2 also helped out by scoring 7 points, including a key three-pointer in the first half.

The Lakers took their biggest lead of the game, 32-27, after Chris Wourman made two free throws in a row, but Phoenix didn't give up. Jack Evans hit a clutch two-pointer to put the Lakers up 34-32 late in the game, but Phoenix came back with a dramatic three-pointer to win the game at the buzzer at 35-34. The team didn't get the result they wanted, but this was a wonderful show of skill and competitiveness that bodes well for the rest of the season.
