Josh Evans drove this early momentum, posing a formidable threat to the Wolves' defense with his 8 points in the opening period alone. Oscar kept the pressure on with back-to-back buckets, while Jai Singh set the tone early with the game’s opening scores. While the Wolves eventually managed a 10-point run to take a 21-15 halftime lead, the Lakers' opening flurry proved they can run with anyone in the league.
